Baturday: Batman in March 2019

Baturday

Welcome to 2019’s third installment of the longest-running column here at Comic Booked: Baturday, where we discuss all there is to talk about the Dark Knight at the end (or, in this case, beginning) of each and every single month. My Pick of the Month for March 2019:

  • DETECTIVE COMICS!!!

So there you have it. Detective Comics was amazing, but my favorite might have been the Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev story (even though they were all great). Speaking of Bendis… Young Justice is still one of my favorite titles, with gorgeous Patrick Gleason artwork helping it become a modern day classic with each and every issue. Gotham is getting a little ridiculous, but I’m super excited to see how it all ends next month. It’s a toss up for Heroes in Crisis and Doomsday Clock for hardest to wait for each new part because both are ramping the levels up to absolute insanity and topping the previous chapters. But what are your thoughts on this month’s Batman-related releases? We’d love to hear from you in the comments section or on social media. And look out for a new approach to this classic column starting next week. That’s right: Baturday’s going back to weekly in April! And no, this is not the Joker with his April Fool’s Day pranks. See you in a week!
