Baturday: Fourth Week of August 2020 for Batman

Hello there, Batman fans!  And welcome back to Comic Booked’s longest-running column, Baturday!  Make sure you check out the last edition before you read all about the fourth week of August.  Here’s what came out this week:

  • Batgirl #48
  • Batman Beyond #46
  • Batman/Superman #11
  • Batman: Three Jokers #1 (of 3)
  • Detective Comics #1,026
  • Justice League Dark #25
  • Red Hood: Outlaw #48
  • Suicide Squad #8
  • Teen Titans Annual #2
  • Wonder Woman #761
  • DC FanDome

And my pick of the week is:

  • THREE JOKERS

So there you have it.  We got three great Joker War tie-ins in the form of Batgirl, Red Hood: Outlaw, and Detective Comics.  Batman Beyond continues Dan Jurgens epic future Batman tale that is every bit as good as the original cartoon.  Tom Taylor gives us equal parts heart and humor in his action-packed take on the Suicide Squad.  Max Lord keeps being Max Lord in the pages of the great new Wonder Woman arc.  Damian’s past finally catches up with him in the pages of Teen Titans.  DC FanDome gave us a ton of news, interviews, previews, and trailers.  And Geoff Johns and Jason Fabok help Batman: Three Jokers take its place as contender for book of the year just one issue in.  I think it’s pretty safe to say that it was yet another solid release week for the Bat family of books.  Let us know what you missed, what you’re looking forward to, and how you’re doing.  We’d love to hear from you on social media.  See you next Baturday!
