Count-I-Con in all of it’s comic, art, game and cosplay convention glory was held in Lake County, IL Fairgrounds. The artists, vendors, vintage games and attendees were calibered up, profound in their talent and acumen as well as friendly and out for fun.
Cosplay guest Marie Bourbonnais was gorgeous, talented artists were on site like Philo Barnhart, Ashley Witter, Jeffrey and Philip Moy, Dirk Manning, Ash Maczko, Allen Panakal and Archie Cunningham among so many others that were there! Rapper and artist MC SchoollyD was there looking and sounding great with some of his art
The cosplay culture and costume appreciation group We Are Cosplay was creative in their entertainment lineup, working in a quippy HollyWood Squares event with a cosplay spin. Their children’s, adults and pet costume contests were the icing on the event cake called Count-I-Con, which also included a 80’s themed prom event with an officially coronated Prom King and Queen.
We Are Cosplay also provided an on-site photographer, Ronald Ladao, to take courtesy pictures for convention attendees both days. All pictures will be posted soon – check on the Count-I-Con site for more details this week.
This family friendly, cosplay-centric comic, art and toy convention hit level 245 this weekend with a con score of 4.1 out of 5 thumbs up. Count-I-Con got this rating because of location, cosplay friendly, courtesy photographs, reasonable entry prices and a wide variety and availability of all things comic, toy and game.
Can’t wait ’til next year, it will be bigger, better and more endearing than ever!
