From the offbeat minds of Alec Berg and Mike Judge, the HBO Original Series – Silicon Valley: The Complete First Season – is available now to own on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
Another opportunity to give cool stuff away to our fans? Of course! This week we are celebrating the BluRay release of Silicon Valley Season One. This is an hilarious show from the mind of Alec Berg, who produced and directed movies like Shark Tale, The Dictator, and Eurotrip, and from Mike Judge, the genius behind the animated TV show Beavis and Butthead, and the movies Office Space and Idiocracy.
Silicon Valley is a show about programmers in Silicon Valley. Now, while that does sound boring, just remember that Office Space was a movie about people who work in an office. Silicon Valley takes the irreverent humor of Office Space and twists the knife a little harder, creating a world of the haves and the wants, not the have nots. This world is all about grasping the opportunity, getting the big money, and being the first one so you can shove it in everyone else’s face. Or at least being one of the hangers-on saying you own 10% of whatever that next big thing is.
With Season Two coming out this Spring, we here at Comic Booked have a cool opportunity. I have a lot of copies of Silicon Valley Season One on BluRay and I want to give them away to you. So, all you have to do is to post a comment on this article, naming either your favorite character from Silicon Valley or, if you haven’t seen the show yet, naming your favorite movie or show from either Mike Judge or Alec Berg and giving your favorite quote from said movie. I have to start this one off with one of my favorite Mike Judge movies, Idiocracy. There are some many quotable lines, but the best, and one I use the most, is Dax Shepard saying “I like money.”
