2. Live! From New York…
Wait, Saturday Night Live? Seriously? Oh, yes. In 1978, in yet another TV crossover, Spider-Man swung onto the set of Saturday Night Live at NBC and paired up with the Not-Ready-For-Prime-Time-Players. So wait, Spidey teamed up with two of the Ghostbusters here? Oh yes. With Rosanne Roseannadanna? You bet. And with John “Samurai Chef” Belushi? Absolutely. And the Samurai Chef is most definitely needed to take on the power of long-time Japanese yakuza, the Silver Samurai. Can Spidey save the day with this team of late-night misfits? You’re going to have to find yourself a copy of Marvel Team-Up #74 to find out for yourself. And speaking of Marvel Team-Up, last but not least, is a team-up that doesn’t even star Spider-Man himself… (This SNL issue brought to you courtesy of Nick Cavicchio.)
