Jeff’s Pick

Batman. Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo deliver the penultimate issue of Zero Year as “Secret City” races toward its epic conclusion. The Riddler is the coolest he’s been in years. Batman is actually flawed and not quite as perfect as he is destined to become. And all bets are off with this creative team as they reinvent, reinvigorate, and reimagine one of, if not the, greatest origin stories in all of fiction.

Newell’s Pick 

My pick for the week is Outcast. I know it’s easy to say you’re looking forward to a new Kirkman book, but let’s be honest, there’s a reason to look forward to Kirkman books. The added benefit of some beautiful art by Paul Azaceta doesn’t hurt either. I’m also intrigued by a horror book about possession. I’ve seen plenty of movies on the subject, but it’ll be interesting to see how this comic handles it.

Aaron’s Pick

I have already read it, but Alien Legion: Uncivil War is a great book by Chuck Dixon. This is the first new Alien Legion tale since the mid 1990’s. I will have a full review and interview with Chuck Dixon up later this week.
