Nexus Game Fair, Milwaukee’s premiere Memorial Day gaming event had an incredible 3rd year at Milwaukee Hyatt Regency. Inclusion of a costume parade and Saturday cosplay contest brought a new level to the con this year. Gamers, costumers, guest, vendors and interested parties filtered in, hung out, played and battled fellow lovers of the game.
Milwaukee Company of Gamers provided massive amounts of unique titling for gaming inside the fair, literally making sure you could game all night long!
Cosplay guests Wig-Wig Cosplay and Bright Eyes Cosplay judged the costume contest held near NGF’s Cosplay Corner, checking on costume structure and creativity. Chicago’s own Geeks-A-Gogo founder Monica Gonzales took first place in creativity! Hoop-Hoop!
NGF gets 3.8 out of 5 thumbs up for a pretty new venue with lots of success and now with cosplay included – it’s gonna get more intense! Nexus Game Fair runs every Memorial Day weekend through that holiday Monday. Barbecue first, then come and game later! Make plans, practice those moves and plan your cosplay for next year – it’s gonna get real with an even bigger, more amazing cosplay contest and of course the games!
