Stir the Pot Saturday: Week 14

Week 14 Picture 1

Welcome back, everyone! Just a quick reminder of what our goal for each and every Saturday is: Stirring the pot is the act of causing trouble for the sake of your own amusement. So we here at Comic Booked would like to formally invite you to discuss, debate, and start some shit talkin’ about the characters, the creators, and the storylines given to us from the industry we all know and love, hate, and love to hate. So let’s quit wasting time and start the mud (or web) slinging!

This Saturday’s question: If you had to choose one, would it be Batman or Superman?

Week 14 Picture 2

This is the age-old question of every die hard comic fan, whether they admit it or not. Who would win? How would they win? And if they absolutely had to do so, how far would they go to win? Do you think Frank Miller’s portrayal in The Dark Knight Returns is the only way it could go down? Or do you have your own opinions?

Week 14 Picture 3

So go forth and debate! But be sure to back up your responses. Don’t be scared. And don’t give up. After all, no one likes a quitter. And you’re not a quitter, are you?

I would go with Batman he has the brains and knowledge to defeat Superman. Yes Superman is all in all a superior being but Batman would be prepared for him.

I long loyal to superman. I would go superman. He reporter learning many things. Work with people communities include police , ambulance , firefighter, many more. People cheers to superman whenever need help. Imagine that superman join army help clean world stop war, nuclear, missile, etc. superman win- win ?what can batman do? He can all do is google it? Fight in dark where people not see him , fear of batman, but villian isn’t afraid of batman, likely challenge to batman win- lose ?

Batman. He's really the only DC hero I like. Even though I haven't read a Batman in years (and won't read any New 52 stuff) but for good guys it's only ever Batman.

Batman fears no one. Not even Superman. He is always on his guard and ready to take on anyone at any time. If he had to take down Clark Kent, and he knew he HAD to, he would. It would be a good fight no question.

Superman would win the fight, but that's what makes Batman the more interesting character.

Adam West would win. Because nobody messes with Adam We…

I'd have to agree with your comment.

I love Batman as well. Actually, I love pre-Flashpoint Superman, too. Which is what makes it hard. In regards to your comment about the New 52, Batman and Green Lantern didn't change. Really at all. You should give some of the Bat titles a shot if you're looking for something fun and challenging to make up for your recent Marvel disappointments. You won't regret it. I recommend Batman, Nightwing, Red Hood and the Outlaws, Batman and Robin, Batman Incorporated, Batwoman, Batman: The Dark Knight, Detective Comics, and the main Justice League title especially.

Agreed.

That's a great comment. I think you're onto something bigger here…

After a lifetime of debating, I've come to this conclusion: Batman would win, because he would cheat, which is why I like him better than Superman.
