Wizard World Philadelphia 2015

WW

Ever since the first con I attended, Setsucon, probably back in 2010. I have been addicted to the who scene. The guests, the artists, the con goers, and of course the cosplayers. Now after five years of attending as as a cosplayer, I attended this year’s Philadelphia Wizard World Comic con as Press. I panicked, I didn’t know what to do, how do it, if my editing skills were up to par and of course there’s the issue of proper equipment. Now I own some stuff thanks to my Youtube channel, but it’s still not as good as it could, but I sucked it up and did the best I could.

Now, being press you’re allowed access to certain things regular attendees are not. Like a quick QnA; meet and greet with the stars, now I procrastinated asking the con for certain people, so I just went to those who had a some free time on there hands and interviewed them instead.

While meeting those with a high public persona is nice, I also wanted to meet with everyone else. I got an in dept look at a new indie game coming out for the Sony Systems called Dragon Fin Soup. I interviewed a host of a sci-fi speed dating panel. I got to meet some amazing cosplayers who made all their own gear and even got some advice on how to complete my own.

Generally speaking, everyone is very welcome and looking to have a good time and like always, that’s what I got out of it. It was a great learning experience and I hope I get another chance to go as press at the next convention .
