Marvel Comics first released X-Men #1 in September , 1963. Since then, there have been more series than I can count including X-Men/Uncanny X-Men, X-Factor, X-Force, X-Men Unlimited, Amazing X-Men, Uncanny Avengers, and a myriad of other comic series including these fan favorite mutants. Outside of the comic book world there have been movies, TV shows, novels, action figures, clothing, and just about anything else you can think of as collectible featuring the likenesses of many of the X-Men throughout history.
The characters that have been a part of this team, or at least honorary members, of this team has changed a lot since their first appearance 50 years ago. I wanted to share this cool infographic from our friends over at Shirts.com. A complete list of all the X-Men that have ever been X-Men. So, just in time for the premier of the newest film, X-Men: Days of Future Past, we offer you the uncanny chance to brush up on all the obscure members of this prestigious mutant menagerie.Whether you are a fan of Wolverine, Havok, or Psylocke, or you relate better to Lifeguard, Stacy X, or Darwin, check out this awesome infographic and let us know what you think in the comments below.

I’m a Wolverine guy myself…
I have always been partial tp Wolverine myself, too.
I am a Gambit fan (despite the current casting news).
I really like Mystique and, since she is on the list, she gets my vote.
Wolverine for sure
I got to go with Cable
Let’s all be honest: None of them can lay a finger on Shadowcat. Literally.
a very cool way to break it all down!!!! Im an incredible Havok fan.
This operates on the principle that the x-men are any good and that I like the x-men, which I don’t.
I would have to give the nod to Gambit. Thought he was a very interesting character.
easy… nightcrawler!
Wolverine
I’d like to know who created this list or where they got it from. I see several discrepancies. As far as I know, Kymera joined the X-Men, not the student class. Cyclops team are considered X-Men. Karma is MIA, Magneto quit, X-23 joined Cyclops team.
Like many of you (and clearly a minority of the writers, which is made even more evident by all the breaks in his line), I feel that Gambit is the obvious way to go. The character just oozes cool in so many ways, and finds a way to always overcome the odds. From being abandoned in Antarctica only to return with a weird spirit in him that he also beat, leaving the team 50 times, random blindness, losing his powers a few times, becoming an energy spire for an alien invasion (wtf claremont?), being a Marauder a few times, being a good guy most of the time, becoming death, not being death any more, oh wait he’s still death but somehow not actually isn’t death any more with a weird underdeveloped split personality thing that has kind of been written out, and finally, managing the thieves guild (aka island?) while simultaneously teaching at wolverine’s school. what’s not to love with such a logical character arc?
Cyclops…yeah I said it. Not current Cyclops though. 80’s Cyke was the best.
I’m 100% Gambit all the way.
Peter Rasputin / Colossus
Wolverine!
always been a nightcrawler guy myself. loved his opening in the second xmen movie too. glad he is getting a lot of hype now
