Baturday: 1-18 Batman Releases

Baturday

Happy Baturday, folks!  What a month it was to be a Batman fan.  January of 2018 has been good to the Dark Knight and his rogues, his allies, and his family.  It was a fun (albeit quite expensive) week for me, personally, but I do it for you all.  Well, not really.  That’s how I justify it to my tax guy, though.  Here are my thoughts on this past month’s Batman-related releases:

My Pick of the Month: BATMAN!!!

And there you have it.  Arrow has somewhat run it’s course, but Black Lightning is a fun show so far.  The Batman/Scooby-Doo team-up movie was a unexpected delight.  Damage should be an entertaining new character, but the Silencer’s art was quite possibly the harshest thing I’ve seen in years.  As for Tom King’s run on Batman and Frank Tieri taking over Harley Quinn?  Those comics are top of their games.  Doomsday Clock and Dark Nights: Metal are both amazing (but very, very different) events.  And with so many miniseries coming to an end, crossovers heating up, and new and unusual titles popping up out of seemingly nowhere, it sure is a great time to be a Batman fan.  But enough of my thoughts.  What did you think about January’s Batman-related releases?  Can’t wait to hear from you.  Let us know in the comments section or on social media.  See you next Baturday!
