Happy Baturday, Batman fans! It was a huge (and expensive) week for Batman readers and viewers, but a great one nonetheless. I’m loving the main Batman books, but some of the spin-offs and side character books might need to either cancel, combine, or mix it up creative team wise. Here are my thoughts:
Deadman: Dark Mansion of Forbidden Love #3 (of 3) – My Rating: 4/5
Gotham Academy: Second Semester #6 – My Rating: 3/5
Earth 2: Society #21 – My Rating: 4/5
All-Star Batman #7 – My Rating: 4/5
Batgirl and the Birds of Prey #7 – My Rating: 3/5
Detective Comics #950 – My Rating: 5/5
Red Hood and the Outlaws #7 – My Rating: 5/5
Justice League of America: Rebirth #1 (One-Shot) – My Rating: 5/5
Suicide Squad #11 – My Rating: 3/5
New Super-Man #8 – My Rating: 5/5
Titans #8 – My Rating: 5/5
Deathstroke #12 – My Rating: 4.5/5
Justice League / Power Rangers #2 (of 6) – My Rating: 3/5
Arrow 5.12: “Bratva” – My Rating: 4/5
Legends of Tomorrow 2.11: “Turncoat” – My Rating: 4.5/5
Powerless 1.2: “Wayne Dream Team” – My Rating: 4/5
Justice League Dark DVD – My Rating: 5/5
…and my pick of the week is… DETECTIVE COMICS!!!
So there you have it. A giant week of releases. I’m super pumped to see where Tynion and company take the Bat family in the pages of Detective Comics. Every single issue of this series since Rebirth seems important, which is really fun. The Arrowverse is still pretty good on TV and I’m surprised at how much I’m enjoying Powerless. Also: Justice League Dark essentially being Constantine season two? All about that. But enough from me. What did you think? Let us know in the comments or on social media and we’ll talk about Batman stuff. Until then, see you next weekend for another great entry in the history of Baturday!
