Baturday: 2/25/17 in Batman

Baturday

Happy Baturday, Batman fans!  What a selection of Batman-related releases this week.  I’ll complain briefly about DC’s double-cover initiative, then get to the reviews.  So, here it is: I’m a lifelong fan.  I’m also a completionist collector.  The double covers, though cool, are essentially just punishing hardcore fans.  DC knows we’ll buy them.  And I do.  But eventually, I’m going to just rage quit everything because I’ll be homeless.  Hyperbole aside, seriously.  Enough is enough.  One cover.  One price.  Mark up to 3.99 if you must, but stop punishing us.  There.  Rant over.  Here are my thoughts on this week’s releases:

Batgirl #8 – My Rating: 3.5/5

Batman Beyond #5 – My Rating: 4.5/5

Detective Comics #851 – My Rating: 5/5

Justice League of America #1 – My Rating: 5/5

Suicide Squad #12 – My Rating: 3/5

Teen Titans #5 – My Rating: 4/5

Deathstroke #13 – My Rating: 4/5

Batman ’66 Meets Wonder Woman ’77 #2 (of 6) – My Rating: 3/5

Arrow 5.14: “The Sin-Eater” – My Rating: 4/5

Legends of Tomorrow 2.12: “Camelot 3000” – My Rating: 4/5

Powerless 1.4: “Emily Dates a Henchman” – My Rating: 4/5

…and my pick of the week is…  JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA!!!

So there you have it.  Drop your punishment nonsense because I don’t want to stop buying your comics when they’re just as great as they’ve ever been.  See you next week for a brand new installment of Baturday!
