Baturday

Happy Baturday! I’m so glad we decided to go back to weekly installments for Comic Booked’s longest-running column. There’s always so much Batty goodness to discuss each and every week. And this week was no exception to that rule. Tons of crazy things happening on the page and on the small screen. Here are my thoughts on this week’s Batman-related releases:

  • Batman #68 – 5/5
  • The Batman Who Laughs #4 (of 6) – 5/5
  • Catwoman #10 – 4/5
  • Detective Comics #1,001 – 5/5
  • Justice League Odyssey #8 – 4/5
  • Red Hood: Outlaw #33 – 4/5
  • Titans #36 – 4/5
  • DC Daily on DC Universe – 3/5
  • DC’s Legends of Tomorrow on CW – 3.5/5
  • Doom Patrol on DC Universe – 3.5/5

Pick of the Month: THE BATMAN WHO LAUGHS!!!

Scott Snyder and Jock bring their nightmares to ours with the best portrayal of insanity since their original “Black Mirror” storyline. And speaking of nightmares, Tom King continues his “Knightmare” story with another solid analysis of the Batman’s greatest fears and failures. Peter J. Tomasi leads the charge with the flagship Detective Comics (with a fancy new logo and a fancy new Arkham Knight) in yet another enjoyable read from beginning to end. And if those aren’t enough to sate your Bat rush, there are plenty of other solid releases this week for you to choose from. But what did you think? We’d love to hear from you. Hit us up on social media and let the conversation continue. See you next weekend for an all-new edition of Baturday!
