Happy Baturday! And welcome back to the newest installment of Comic Booked’s longest-running column. There’s always so much Batty goodness to discuss each and every week. And this week was no exception to that rule. Tons of crazy things happening on the page and on the small screen. Here are my thoughts on this week’s Batman-related releases:
- Batman #69 – 5/5
- Justice League #22 – 4/5
- Nightwing #59 – 3.5/5
- Teen Titans #29 – 4/5
- Arrow on CW – 4/5
- DC Daily on DC Universe – 3/5
- DC’s Legends of Tomorrow on CW – 3.5/5
- Doom Patrol on DC Universe – 3.5/5
- Gotham on Fox – 5/5
- Justice League Vs. the Fatal Five on DC Universe – 5/5
Pick of the Week: BATMAN!!!
Tom King and Yanick Paquette conclude the “Knightmare” story with another solid analysis of the Batman’s greatest fears and failures, juxtaposed nicely with a battle between Bane and Thomas Wayne. Gohtam gave us a season finale before next week’s official series finale and it was a great segue into seeing the Dark Knight finally grace the small screen. DC Universe continues the animated movie tradition with Justice League Vs. the Fatal Five and brings back the voice cast that we all grew up with to do it. And if those aren’t enough to sate your Bat rush, there are plenty of other solid releases this week for you to choose from, whether they be on the page or on the screen. But what did you think? We’d love to hear from you. Hit us up on social media and let the conversation continue. See you next weekend for an all-new edition of Baturday!
