Happy Baturday! And welcome back to the newest installment of Comic Booked’s longest-running column. There’s always so much Batty goodness to discuss each and every week. And this week was no exception to that rule. Tons of crazy things happening on the page and on the small screen. Here are my thoughts on this week’s Batman-related releases:
- Action Comics #1,010 – 5/5
- Batgirl #34 – 4.5/5
- Batman Beyond #31 – 4.5/5
- Detective Comics #1,002 – 4.5/5
- Heroes in Crisis #8 (of 9) – 3/5
- Justice League Dark #10 – 4/5
- The Silencer #16 – 4/5
- Arrow on CW – 3.5/5
- DC Daily on DC Universe – 3/5
- DC’s Legends of Tomorrow on CW – 3.5/5
- Doom Patrol on DC Universe – 3.5/5
- Gotham on Fox – 5/5
Pick of the Week: GOTHAM!!!
Last week’s episode of Gotham was like a season finale, and this week’s was a true series finale. Lots of brave (albeit strange) decisions on the show runners’ parts over the years finally paid off in a truly fitting end to a series that will be fondly remembered. Quite a few comics hit the stand this week and were also great. And then there’s the one that is getting Tom King actual real-life death threats. Yeah, it sucked. Yeah, I’m mad. But there’s one issue left for him to wrap things up and hopefully stick the landing Spoilers aside, I’ll give him credit: He’s definitely getting people talking. So there you have it. And if those aren’t enough to sate your Bat rush, there are plenty of other solid releases this week for you to choose from, whether they be on the page or on the screen. But what did you think? We’d love to hear from you. Hit us up on social media and let the conversation continue. See you next weekend for an all-new edition of Baturday!
