Baturday 5-25-19

Happy (belated) Baturday! I was out of town for a friend’s wedding (you know, like the one we were supposed to get between a certain Bat and a certain Cat, but didn’t get… yet). Needless to say, my friends got married. But I missed my deadline for Baturday. So here it is! It’s been a great week for Batman fans and for Comic Booked’s longest-running column. Here are my thoughts on this week’s Batman-related releases:

  • Action Comics #1,011 – 5/5
  • Absolute Batman: The Black Mirror HC – 5/5
  • Batgirl #35 – 3.5/5
  • Batman Beyond #32 – 4/5
  • Detective Comics #1,004 – 5/5
  • Justice League Dark #11 – 4/5
  • The Silencer #17 – 3.5/5
  • DC Daily on DC Universe – 3/5
  • DC’s Legends of Tomorrow on CW – 3.5/5
  • Doom Patrol on DC Universe – 3.5/5

So there you have it. Leviathan continues to rise across the DCU. Arkham Knight continues to dive deeper into the Bat mythos. And Snyder’s epic start to his now legendary Batman run is finally collected in a beautiful absolute edition. But what do you all think? I’d love to hear from you on social media. Hit me up at jeffhillwriter on Twitter and let’s keep the conversation going until next weekend, where we get into more Batman talk. See you next Baturday!
