Happy Baturday! It’s been a great week for Batman fans and for Comic Booked’s longest-running column. Here are my thoughts on this week’s Batman-related releases:
- Batman: Last Knight on Earth #1 (of 3) – 5/5
- Catwoman Ann. #1 – 3.5/5
- Detective Comics Ann. #2 – 4/5
- Dog Days of Summer #1 (One-Shot) – 3.5/5
- Doomsday Clock #10 (of 12) – 5/5
- Heroes in Crisis #9 (of 9) – 3.5/5
- Superman: Leviathan Rising Spec. #1 (One-Shot) – 5/5
- DC Daily on DC Universe – 3/5
- Swamp Thing on DC Universe – 4.5/5
My Pick of the Week: DOOMSDAY CLOCK!!!
So there you have it. Leviathan continues to rise across the DCU (and is shaping up to be one of the coolest events in DC history). The Snyder/Capullo epic begins its crazy Black Label finale. And Doomsday Clock continues to reinvent not only DC, but the genre along the way. Swamp Thing also debuted on DC Universe and holy crap was it great. But what do you all think? I’d love to hear from you on social media. Hit me up at jeffhillwriter on Twitter and let’s keep the conversation going until August, where we will get into more Batman talk. I’m going to be taking a brief summer hiatus from Comic Booked while I’m traveling up and down the east coast, but I’ll be checking in every now and then for some event coverage, some news pieces, and a few editorials. See you next Baturday! And enjoy your summer!
