Baturday

Happy Baturday! And welcome back to Comic Booked’s longest-running column! Each major Batman-related release is listed at the end of each and every week and the comics, shows, graphic novels, movies, events, etc. you CANNOT MISS are listed in bold. Here are this week’s releases:

  • Action Comics #1,019
  • Detective Comics Ann. #3
  • Green Lantern: Blackstars #3 (of 3)
  • Justice League #39
  • Justice League Dark #19
  • Suicide Squad #2
  • CW: Arrow
  • CW: Batwoman
  • CW: Supergirl
  • DC Universe: DC Daily
  • DC Universe: Harley Quinn

And My Pick of the Week: ARROW!!!

This week had some great Batman goodies. Peter J. Tomasi continues to tell the Batman tales that we never knew we needed or even wanted in a special Detective Comics annual. Scott Snyder’s epic Justice League run leaves us with quite the cliffhanger. Grant Morrison’s terrible Multiversal story comes to an end, sort of, with his Blackstars miniseries bridging the gap between seasons one and two of his run on the Green Lantern. James Tynion IV’s Justice League Dark is terrifying and magical and so much comic book fun. And then there’s the always-enjoyable episodic TV drama of the animated Harley Quinn and the live-action Supergirl. But I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention my pick of the week in the form of the Arrow series finale, which was everything. But what are your thoughts on this week’s Batman-related releases? Hit me up on Twitter at jeffhillwriter and let’s get the debate going. See you next Baturday!
