And my pick of the week is…  CHALLENGE OF THE SUPER SONS!!!

So there you have it, folks.  A pretty great week for Batman fans.  Tons of great comics, chief among them the final issue of the just-announced soon-to-be animated movie for Super Sons.  Last Ride is great fun from a different part of the multiverse, as is the Batman/Scooby-Doo crossover series.  And as a lifelong Wildstorm fan, it’s always fun to see Midnighter shine as much as he does in the pages of Superman and the Authority, which ends in a cliffhanger to be wrapped up/continued in a Batman special later this year.  Then there’s the TV side of things, with the best episode of Batwoman yet, showcasing the acting talent of the diverse cast of characters as they fight a great new villain with an old moniker and the multiversal crossover character of Renee Montoya from Gotham.  HBO Max has a lot to offer, with Titans heading towards its final episode this week and Young Justice returning.  And then there’s a little thing called FanDome, which gave us some upcoming comics news, some great interviews and interactive experiences, some opportunities to view and buy some fun merchandise, and tons of trailers for video games, TV shows, and movies.  Teen Titans Go is finally meeting DC Super Hero Girls.  Catwoman is getting her own solo animated film.  The Super Sons (as mentioned above) will also get one of those.  Peacemaker debuted its first trailer for the hilarious action-packed HBO Max series.  Pennyworth has been renewed for a third season, heading to the rest of the non-CW family line of TV shows over at HBO Max.  And HBO Max and the CW officially renewed new seasons for Batwoman, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Titans, Doom Patrol, Young Justice, Superman & Lois, and Stargirl.  We got the first few minutes of the CW show Naomi, which is wildly comics-accurate.  The Sandman gave us some fantastic teaser images for the upcoming Netflix adaptation.  The Flash gave us a bunch of Barry Allens and a Michael Keaton Batman in its first trailer for the film due out next year.  Black Adam finally gave us a teaser, after showing off its star-power in terms of its cast.  We got plenty of stills and teaser images from Aquaman (both the new movie and the animated series due out in theaters and on HBO Max respectively) and the Shazam sequel.  And last, but certainly most importantly, the newest trailer for Robert Pattinson’s take on The Batman essentially just broke the internet with how awesome it looks.  But what did you think about this week’s Batman-related comics?  Let us know on social media and let’s keep the conversation going.  See you next Baturday!
