Welcome back, Bat fans! This was a fun week for those who miss the pre-Flashpoint era of the DC Universe. That being said, I’m going to spice things up a bit for the next two months. You may have guessed it from events passed, so congratulations for being awesome if that is the case. For those of you casual readers (or maybe just newly in love with Comic Booked from the inception of Baturday), I covered the whole Forever Evil event, so it only stands to reason that I should cover the entirety of Convergence. Number zero was great, and number one was just as much fun, but it’s those two-issue miniseries that have me excited. So, without any further ramblings on my part, here’s the week from DC Comics, as reviewed by the team’s resident Batman fanatic.
Convergence #1 – My Rating: 4/5
Convergence: Batgirl #1 (of 2) – My Rating: 4/5
Convergence: Batman and Robin #1 (0f 2) – My Rating: 4/5
Convergence: Nightwing/Oracle #1 (of 2) – My Rating: 4/5
Convergence: Justice League #1 (of 2) – My Rating: 4/5
Convergence: The Question #1 (of 2) – My Rating: 5/5
Convergence: Speed Force #1 (of 2) – My Rating: 3/5
Convergence: Superman #1 (of 2) – My Rating: 5/5
Convergence: Titans #1 (of 2) – My Rating: 4/5
Convergence: The Atom #1 (of 2) – My Rating: 3.5/5
and my pick of the week… CONVERGENCE: THE QUESTION!!!
But more importantly, what did you all think of the first week of Convergence? And did anyone else notice that Convergence #0 came out on April Fool’s Day? Wouldn’t DC be a bunch of stinkers if they pulled a fast one on all of us fans and have been since the very beginning? Only time will tell. In the meantime, I’ll see you all in the comments section and next week for a brand new edition of Baturday!
