Baturday: Convergence Week 3

Baturday

Well, week three was a little… different.  Pre-Crisis DCU is a bit of a mystery to me (considering I wasn’t alive yet), but I gave it a shot.  I have to say, the best part of these books this week was the “other” worlds they were pit against.  Although I do have to admit, it was kinda neat to see some of the creators from the past doing what they love with the characters they made famous again.  Here’s the week’s releases, as reviewed by yours truly:

Convergence #3 – My Rating: 4/5

Convergence: Adventures of Superman #1 (of 2) – My Rating: 3/5

Convergence: Batman and the Outsiders #1 (of 2) – My Rating: 3.5/5

Convergence: Hawkman #1 (of 2) – My Rating: 3/5

Convergence: Green Lantern Corps #1 (of 2) – My Rating: 3/5

Convergence: Justice League of America #1 (of 2) – My Rating: 3/5

Convergence: New Teen Titans #1 (of 2) – My Rating: 3.5/5

Convergence: Wonder Woman #1 (of 2) – My Rating: 4/5

Convergence: Swamp Thing #1 (of 2) – My Rating: 5/5

Convergence: The Flash #1 (of 2) – My Rating: 3/5

Convergence: Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes #1 (of 2) – My Rating: 3/5

Gotham 1.20: “Under the Knife” – My Rating: 4/5

and my pick of the week: CONVERGENCE: SWAMP THING!!!

So there you have it.  Not my favorite week so far, and the lackluster death fest of the pre-Flashpoint villains from the Batman world was not exactly the best way to make me happy, but whatever.  I’m excited for the future and am looking forward to next week’s releases.  What did you all think?  Is Gotham still your favorite show?  Was your pre-Crisis fanboy or fangirl awakened this week?  Let me know your thoughts in the comments section below.  See you all next Baturday!
