Baturday: Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo are perfect

Batman is Jim Gordon.  Sorry.  Spoiler for those of you who don’t read anything on the internet or weekly or monthly or, well, live in a cave that isn’t full of bats.  Happy Baturday, friends, and let’s just get this out in the open: Gordon is pretty awesome.  Who would have thought that he’d one day wear the cape and cowl?  I’ll be honest, though I did not see it coming initially, I’ve warmed up and come to accept it as a logical decision.  He is a great temporary heir, but it’s only a matter of time before things are restored back to their natural order.  Regardless of your opinion, Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo continue to shock and impress me with their ongoing tale that never seems to lose steam.  And then there’s Gotham and Arrow, which both picked up and returned to greatness this week.  But enough of that… here are my reviews of this week’s Batman-related releases:

Batman and Robin Eternal #6 – My Rating: 4/5

Teen Titans #13 – My Rating: 4/5

Batman #46 – My Rating: 5/5

Batman Beyond #6 – My Rating: 4/5

Batman/Superman #26 – My Rating: 4/5

Justice League: Darkseid War: SHAZAM! #1 (One-Shot) – My Rating: 4.5/5

Justice League: Darkseid War: Green Lantern #1 (One-Shot) – My Rating: 3/5

Justice League United #15 – My Rating: 4/5

Arrow 4.6: “Lost Souls” – My Rating: 5/5

Gotham 2.8: “Tonight’s the Night” – My Rating: 5/5

Catwoman #46 – My Rating: 4/5

DC Comics Bombshells #4 – My Rating: 3/5

Starfire #6 – My Rating: 3/5

Red Hood/Arsenal #6 – My Rating: 4/5

…and my pick of the week is…  BATMAN!!!

Seriously.  Go buy this book each and every month and you won’t be disappointed.  To be fair, though, there are very few bad books that DC puts out.  And none of those feature Batman.  What was your favorite?  Do you agree that Gordon is a good fit to be the new Batman?  Are you back on team Arrow and Gotham?  Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below and we’ll see you back here next weekend for a brand new Baturday!
