Baturday: Second Week of November 2019

Baturday

Welcome back to everyone’s favorite Batman-themed column here on Comic Booked, Baturday! I’m back again with my thoughts on all things Batman. The second week of November was full of great stuff. Here’s my take on this week’s releases:

  • The Batman’s Grave #2 (of 12) – 5/5
  • Batman and the Outsiders #7 – 3/5
  • Catwoman #17 – 5/5
  • Detective Comics #1,105 – 5/5
  • Event Leviathan #6 (of 6) – 5/5
  • Gotham City Monsters #3 (of 6) – 4.5/5
  • Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy #3 (of 6) – 4/5
  • Justice League Odyssey #15 – 3.5/5
  • Tales from the Dark Multiverse: Blackest Night #1 (One-Shot) – 4/5
  • CW: Arrow – 3.5/5
  • CW: Batwoman – 3.5/5
  • CW: Black Lightning – 3/5
  • CW: Supergirl – 3.5/5
  • DC Universe: DC Daily – 3/5
  • DC Universe: Titans – 4.5/5

My pick of the week: EVENT LEVIATHAN!!!

So there you have it. Lots of great stuff going on in Batman-related books and other media. Tons of great news, previews, and upcoming releases as well. But you all know that. I could talk about all of the great things in the world of Batman from this week, but I’m going to talk about my top three: 1) Andy Serkis as Alfred in the new Batman trilogy has me intrigued and cautiously optimistic. 2) The Batman’s Grave is a masterpiece each and every issue and I love it. 3) Event Leviathan’s big reveal was so obvious, yet so great, yet somehow I didn’t see it coming and now I just want more because Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev have never been better! But what are your thoughts? What are you most looking forward to in the upcoming weeks and months? Let us know on social media and we’ll continue the conversation there. See you back here next week for another installment of Baturday!
