Baturday: Second Week of September 2020 for Batman

Hello there, Batman fans!  And welcome back to Comic Booked’s longest-running column, Baturday!  Make sure you check out the last edition before you read all about the second week of September.  Here’s what came out this week:

  • Batman and the Outsiders #16
  • Dark Nights: Death Metal: Trinity Crisis #1 (One-Shot)
  • Justice League Odyssey #24
  • Nightwing #74
  • Wonder Woman #762
  • DC FanDome

And my pick of the week is:

  • DARK NIGHTS: DEATH METAL: TRINITY CRISIS!!!

So there you have it.  Nightwing finally gets restored back to “status quo” in the newest crossover with the Joker War.  Wonder Woman gives us Maxwell Lord’s newest creation: his evil daughter.  The team prepares for its final battle in the pages of the sleeper team book hit, Justice League Odyssey.  The Outsiders confront Ra’s al Ghul in the issue that they are finally acting like a team (just in time to probably disband in next month’s finale).  And the Trinity Crisis one-shot continues Snyder and company’s streak of fantastic event-level storytelling.  We also got news of the return of an all-new Batman: Black & White miniseries, Batman Beyond coming to an end with issue 50 in December, and a few new comics headed our way as Death Metal threatens to change the DC Universe forever… again!  I think it’s pretty safe to say that it was yet another solid release week for the Bat family of books.  Let us know what you missed, what you’re looking forward to, and how you’re doing.  We’d love to hear from you on social media.  See you next Baturday!  Now back to DC FanDome I go!
