Baturday: Super Expensive Week for Fans

Baturday

Okay, DC.  I get it.  You like annuals and specials.  But five bucks is asking a lot, especially for uber-fans like me.  Not to mention the fact that they’re all pretty good.  Not great, but still worth picking up.  So we can’t “pick and choose,” as you would have us believe.  Especially when they tie directly into storylines and actually advance the plot in a forward fashion.  Anywho, stop it.  Annuals and specials are fun, but ain’t no one got money for that.  Spoiler-free, as per usual.  Enjoy!

Batman Eternal #38 – My Rating: 4/5

Secret Origins #8 – My Rating: 4/5

Earth 2: World’s End #12 – My Rating: 3/5

Deathstroke #3 – My Rating: 4.5/5

The New 52: Futures End #34 – My Rating: 3/5

Harley Quinn #13 – My Rating: 4.5/5

Catwoman Annual #13 – My Rating: 4/5

Robin Rises: Alpha #1 – My Rating: 5/5

Batman Annual #3 – My Rating: 4/5

Grayson Annual #1 – My Rating: 4.5/5

Gotham by Midnight #2 – My Rating: 5/5

Arkham Manor #3 – My Rating: 3/5

Red Hood and the Outlaws Annual #2 – My Rating: 4/5

Batman ’66 #18 – My Rating: 3/5

and my pick of the week: ROBIN RISES: ALPHA #1!!!

Great stuff, but still a little too pricey.  Especially considering that next week is pretty much a non-event of a week in terms of releases.  Why not make these five dollar books come out the week AFTER Christmas, when people actually have money to spend on themselves?  Sigh.  Oh, well.  See you all next Baturday!
