Welcome back to everyone’s favorite Batman-themed column here on Comic Booked, Baturday! I’m back again with my thoughts on all things Batman. The third week of October was full of great stuff. Here’s my take on this week’s releases:
- Batman #81 – 3.5/5
- Flash Forward #2 (of 6) – 5/5
- Justice League #34 – 5/5
- Nightwing #65 – 3.5/5
- Superman: Year One #3 (of 3) – 5/5
- Tales from the DC Dark Multiverse: Knightfall #1 (One-Shot) – 4/5
- Teen Titans #35 – 4/5
- CW: Arrow – 4.5/5
- CW: Batwoman – 5/5
- CW: Black Lightning – 3/5
- CW: The Flash – 3.5/5
- CW: Supergirl – 4.5/5
- DC Universe: DC Daily – 3/5
- DC Universe: Titans – 5/5
My pick of the week: JUSTICE LEAGUE!!!
So there you have it. Lots of great stuff going on in Batman-related books and other media. Tons of great news, previews, and upcoming releases as well. But you all know that. Titans ramped up and Arrow premiered with an Easter Egg and a glimpse at the power couple we’ve waited over five years to see (Team Ollie and Dinah Forever). Flash Forward is the Flash title I’ve been waiting for since Flashpoint, giving Wally an adventure far more heroic than his last storyline. The Multiverse one-shots started off, well, weird… but fun. It was great to see Frank Miller tackle the Dark Knight again, albeit in a Superman comic. Zoe Kravitz is going to make a stunning Catwoman and Paul Dano definitely has the acting chops to bring a new spin to the Riddler in Matt Reeves’ The Batman trilogy. And Justice Doom War is heating up as Lex appears to be winning. But what are your thoughts? What are you most looking forward to in the upcoming weeks and months? Let us know on social media and we’ll continue the conversation there. See you back here next week for another installment of Baturday!
