Entertainment Weekly and DC Comics have just announced that Ben Affleck will reprise the role of the Dark Knight in a solo film, of which he will also direct. Added firepower behind the scenes will come in the form of a script co-written by DC’s Chief Creative Officer, Geoff Johns. This is a good news day for comic book and movie fans alike. Affleck also announced that he will in fact be making a small cameo appearance as the Caped Crusader in next year’s most anticipated superhero (supervillain?) flick, Suicide Squad.
