Zoe Kravitz has been cast as Selina Kyle – Catwoman – in Matt Reeve’s 2021 film ‘The Batman’.
The progeny of Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz, Zoe is known for her roles in Big Little Lies, Mad Max: Fury Road, Divergent, Fantastic Beasts, X-Men: First Class and also for voicing Catwoman in 2017’s ‘The Lego Batman Movie’.
Kravitz joins Robert Pattinson who will portray Bruce Wayne and Batman. Jonah Hill is rumored to be playing a villain, perhaps The Riddler, along with Westworld’s Jeffrey Wright who is rumored to be Commissioner Gordon. Wright will also be the voice of The Watcher for Disney’s “What If” animated show.
The plot of the upcoming film is still undisclosed but we’ve heard it may be based on The Long Halloween. If true, the Long Halloween features Batman’s rogues gallery of antagonists and so we could very well see a host of other casting announcements in the months to come!
The Batman will be in theaters on June 25, 2021
