CBS’s “Supergirl” series has added a well comic book character to its cast.
According to Variety, Calista Flockhart of “Ally McBeal” & more recently “Brothers & Sisters” will play Cat Grant, “a self-made media magnate and founder of CatCo” where Kara (Supergirl) will be her assistant.
Cat, as fans may know, has been a Super Family regular since “Adventures Of Superman #424” in January 1987 when she appeared as a gossip columnist for the Daily Planet up to most recently starting “clarkatropolis.com” with Clark Kent. She even appeared in “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman” portrayed by Tracy Scoggins.
Cat’s role on the surface bears similarity to the pre-New 52 version of Supergirl whom briefly, in her secret identity of Linda Lang, worked with Cat at the Daily Planet.
Calista certainly has the acting ability for such a role even if she seems a little older than Cat has typically been in comic books.
But I at least cannot see………fortunately………..this scene being ripped from the pages ;b ………..
