The enemy of any Marvel show is the threat of cancelation as a new age of television dawns, and the latest cancellation is that of Cloak and Dagger, which ran for two seasons on Freeform.

There are big changes ahead for how Marvel properties will be shown on television. In the past few years, the Marvel properties produced by Netflix have all been cancelled after only two or three seasons each (including the announcement that season three will be the last for Jessica Jones) and news that Jeph Loeb will be stepping down as head of Marvel TV by the end of the year . All of this is leading to inevitable transition of MCU properties – featuring the same actors and storylines lines that run in tandem with their cinematic counterparts – onto the Disney Plus streaming service under the supervision of Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige.
Cloak and Dagger stars, Aubrey Joseph and Olivia Holt will show up on The Runaway during the show’s third season, which begins in December.
