Comic Book Mania Con 2015 – Artists Alley

Over twenty artists, writers and creators converged on the 6th Annual Comic Book Mania Con in Elgin, IL. A fantastic home town event held at the Gail Borden Library had some of the most amazingly talented up and coming artists in the tri-state area on hand to answer questions, interact with fans and do what they do best! Create great comics, excite our imagination and give us fuel for our day dreams and hero escapades. Marvel, Legionnaires, Powder Puff Girls, X-Men, Star Wars, The Infinium and Magic the Gathering were just a few of the entertainment groups attending artists worked for and are/were involved with!!!

Event cosplay was provided by an incredible group of casted cosplayers from We Are Cosplay. The group “We Are Cosplay is about the culture of costuming and appreciation for the characters and craft used to bring them to life. A collective of artists collaborating toward one goal- to produce creative media via costuming, cosplaying, video production, live appearances, and more.” Group founders Paul Heid and Angelique Starr Rickhoff facilitated a cosplayer filled panel ‘Cosplay Basics’, discussing tips, thoughts and insights into the world of cosplay. Good stuff with great costumes! Represent!!!

Cosplay Corner gives this 3.8 gloved thumbs up out of 5 for innovation in presentation of artists, community availability and over-all support from the hosting site of comics, comic book artists, writers and cosplayers! Worth it!
