Comic Booked Trailer Park Tuesday September 28, 2021

So many trailers and so little time, but it has been a long time since y’all came around these parts. Glad to have ya back in the TP!

First off, let’s start off with a fan favorite that everyone is looking forward to:

The kids are back! After a little pandemic hiatus and now we are all looking forward to seeing what Eleven and the rest of the gang are getting up to since they “defeated” the shadow creature from the Upside Down. We know that Hopper is not lost, just in some Russian gulag, so we have to see how that all wraps up. This trailer makes us wonder what new adventure they are starting on. Maybe exploring other areas that are thin to the other side? We shall see, but not till 2022.

On to my personal favorite. I have to say that when I watched this I felt a little like the meme guy Star Wars fan that was so adamant about not wanting to see The Phantom Menace but then cried when he watched the trailer. I love the original trilogy and really can’t wait to see how deep the rabbit hole goes.

For me, this is the most exciting Christmas present that I have received in a long time… well, at least a year. I love the world and the storytelling of the Matrix universe and just see all the classic components, plus a few new ones, in this trailer. It is way too early to be speculating, but you have to wonder about the pieces put into the trailer. “back to where it all started. Back to the Matrix.” What is that all about? Was he out? And what is “out” since we know that the world was scorched. Obviously, there is a new construct with agents and all, but how? The last thing we all know was that Neo was dead, sacrificed to the machines for peace, and that the Oracle and the Architect had no idea what was going to happen next.

There is just soooooo much controversy and speculation about this movie. “Who’s in it?” Yeah, that is the biggest thing. I don’t know. I know that the trailer looks interesting. Peter Parker, after being outed by Mysterio and J. Jonah Jameson, is desperate to conceal his no longer secret identity. He approaches Doctor Strange to cast a spell and, as expected, it causes a movie to happen. From what I have heard, we have recurrences of Electro, Doc Ock, Sandman, Green Goblin, and several other villains plus, maybe, some other previous actors who played the web slinger. We will find out in a couple of months.

Finally, here is another Marvel movie to look forward to.

I am very excited to see the classic Jack Kirby characters of Icarus and company come to the big screen. Just, wow, what an awesome cosmic comic movie.

And, really this time, finally, it was all just a dream…
