3.9869 thumbs up out of 5 – with a side of slick costuming and fab fighting
Century city has it’s issues, but a kick-butt Kato is on the scene with Masquerade chasing her and ‘missing’ as always! BUT… this time she was met with a mysterious ‘stranger’ who gave her a coveted ‘sword of sorrow’ with an awesome scabbard to help her with impending doom! Well, looks like M and K are still besties and get vaulted together (in Black Beauty) into an alternate universe situation. Purgatori tried to remain in possession of Black Beauty, but the dynamic duo of M & K work together to jump back into their timeframe and boot the red, horned and winged red chick out of possession and get back to their proper time – as bonded friends. Whoop Whoop – girl power! I really liked this one and read it all the way through a few times – cause I liked it! *Blush*
Red Sonja Vol. 2 #16

4 thumbs up out of 5 – and one BA armored Death Sonja red bikini!
Sonja finds herself so injured she meets Death Sonja who tries to recruit her. Of course Sonja is not into doing anything for anybody, so there is a big fat no waiting for Death Sonja. We meet Havan, the Fire Maker, who has the best outfit I’ve seen in a long time, is pegged out on the BA scale – gotta see him, friggin intense! Anyways, Sonja gets into an epic fight with Death Sonja and refuses to die or be the murderous Death Sonja’s lackey! Awesome sauce! Meets back up with villagers she saved and is truly appreciated even tho she has some issues with anger, violence and a penchant for vicious sword fighting. Pretty good edition! Cosplayers, get this comic and someone please make a cosplay of Death Sonja!!! Epic!

Flash – ahhh-ahhh! Defender of the Universe!!! (can’t help it – everytime ‘Flash Gordon’ comes up – it’s a compulsion) J Earth’s been hit and bounced back a century tech wise, real time heroes are runnin’ hot taking care of business! Actually, I could stop here and just tell you – Flash is amazing! ….but I won’t…. The Coralians are being invaded and must evacuate using stablesuits! Before the battle the Queen states she respects Dale the most and feels she is her equal – totally unexpected! Whoa, even more unexpected is Flash Gordon’s death after his dog ditching of Dale…what? Wait… what?? Oh man… (the best is the final page has Flash Gordon with a Queen shirt on – LUV IT!!!!)

4 thumbs up out of 5 and a Jen choice award for most beautiful comic book couple
John Carter and wife Dejah, get more handsome/beautiful every installation! The artwork and color is beyond amazing and obvi the best interpretation of Mars! If this is what Mars is like I think I’m gonna volunteer to be on that one-way mission! I was truly impressed, and the costume ideas I got from this – FABULOUS! Cosplayers – check this stuff out! The Princess of Helium kicks some Warhoon butt and takes names in this installment – I’m diggin’ it!!! (I’m especially impressed she retains her incredibly ornate jewelry and clothes in impeccable condition whilst hacking at Multi-armed aliens) Gotta love it!! Kinda brought home the bacon and fried it up in a pan – never let John Carter forget he’s the Man!!! Boom!
