Arisia 2015, Boston, Massachusetts
Boston, you hosted the Patriots and Arisia in the same weekend – and won at both! Arisia 2015 was held at the downtown Westin and hosted a myriad of genres. It was advertised as a science fiction and fantasy convention but cosplayers definitely costumed to the beat of their own drum. Steampunk ruled the convention floor in vendors as well as cosplay. Gaming was well represented and vendors were fantastic in their artistry. This convention was the most well thought out and planned convention I’ve seen in a few years, (the convention pamphlet is 9 pitch and 79 pages – a feat well worth mentioning). Some photographers were there, including the ever present and popular FirstPerson Shooter from Nerdcaliber. FirstPerson Shooter is one cool dude and a great photographer who was very recognizable and uber popular among cosplayers. I went Sunday, which seemed to be a little sparse on cosplayers but still well represented and entertaining. Nice con I’d invest in again if I am ever up in New England going to see another Championship football game. Well done Arisia producers, well done!
