The CW is developing a series about Superman and Lois Lane starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch. This new series would be spinning out of the Supergirl TV series where both Superman and Lois Lane have become fan favorites. The release reveals that the potential series would follow the world’s most famous super hero and comic books’ most famous journalist as they work through all the stress, pressures, and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.
Showrunner of the Flash on The CW Todd Helbing will write and executive produce, with Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Geoff Johns also executive producing. Berlanti Productions will produce in association with Warner Bros. Television, where Helbing and Berlanti are currently under overall deals. The new tv series would be based on the characters from DC Comics created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
I know we are all excited by this news and are happy to get another iteration of this great duo on the small screen. While I don’t want to compare this show to any other versions of Superman and Lois Lane that have been on TV, I know two people who will definitely be watching….
