Dark Horse Review: Angel & Faith Season Ten #7

angel&faithseason10-7

Scripter: Victor Gischler

Artist: Wil Conrad

Colors: Michelle Madsen

Spoilers, Sweeties! 😉

As the story ‘Lost & Found’ continues, Angel has just finished protecting Magic Town from the Tooth Fairy & has been approached by past friend & enemy Amy Madison………..for Buffy fans she used to beAngel a mouse 🙂 ………….while Faith is leading……………since the commanding officer was killed by vamps………………a team of slayer mercenaries & soldiers to find Buffy’s ex Riley Finn in the Amazon Rain Forest. Amy wants Angel to help her restore her boyfriend Warren………….who I dislike because he killed Willow’s girlfriend Tara…………….to normal from a jar full of jelly, while Faith is struggling to find Riley who got lost trying to find his wife Samantha & c.e.o. / tombraider Walt Zane.

There! All caught up to the start of the ish! 5 x 5! ;b

I am a huge fan of all of the characters in this book and Mister Gischler understands their voices & their words sound like they are being spoken by the actors that once played them. Personally though, I can not wait until Faith & Angel are brought back on to the same team. :/

As you may have guessed from what I have already said this story jumps back & forth between Faith & Angel which does not really allow either plot a chance to really accelerate. Angel struggles over whether to help Amy……….who is relatively evil………..restore Warren…………who is really evil……………who kindof died because Angel destroyed magic in the world. Faith struggles against ‘new vamps’………….who are very string vampires that follow new rules since magic was restored after Angel destroyed it (with Buffy’s help a little). Faith’s team receives some unexpected help in their struggle when one of those they are searching for shows up.

While the story does not progress much, the artwork is beautiful! Very photo realistic but remaining suitable to tell the story.

Angel

A bit of a slow point in the middle but good enough to make me want to see where the story is going!

My Rating: 3.5/5
