In April we reported to you that the SyFy Network had placed an official ‘series order’ for an adaptation of Rick Remender’s ‘Deadly Class’. You can read all about that news at the link provided HERE:  https://comicbooked.com/deadly-class/

“We’re committed to developing graphic novels for SYFY and have found a rich, compelling, truly unique world in Deadly Class,”  A SyFy representative said at the time.

Bill McGoldrick, one of the Presidents over at NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment also opined on the series order; “We’re committed to developing graphic novels for SYFY and have found a rich, compelling, truly unique world in Deadly Class,” and goes on to comment further; “Our producing partners expertly combined high school angst, 80s nostalgia and comic flair into a beautifully realized, visually arresting pilot that truly brings Rick and Wes’ acclaimed comic series to life.”

Now, we have our first look at what that ordered series will look like.  You can watch the 1:20 teaser trailer above to get a feel for how the show will be.

As a fan myself, I will tell you that this looks like a fantastic adaptation and I am truly excited

Deadly Class will join ‘Happy!’, ‘Channel Zero’, ‘The Magicians’, ‘Z Nation’ and more as part of their restructured lineup of ongoing television series. Produced by Joe and Anthony Russo, the show will hit the network airwaves some time in 2019.
