Dragon Con Parade 2015 – Part 1
Dragon Con, the world’s largest science fiction and fantasy convention holds an amazing parade every year – 2015 was no exception. IT WAS EPIC!!! Costumers from subgroups like Star Wars, Marvel, DC Comics, steampunk, movie and TV genres represented during the 2015 costumed fantasy walk down Peachtree Street in Atlanta, GA.
Bagpipes, traditional dress and ‘ye ole Dragon Con’ parade banner commenced the event – from there it was on – cosplay amazement at it’s best! Star Wars, The Superhero Costume Group, the Periodic Table, horror, Mad Max, Dr Who, Middle Earth, The Captain America dancing troop and so many others looked incredible.
Vivacity Vibrated Throughout
When the annual ‘walk of fame’ was over, (despite heat stroke seeming imminent for those in heavy costumes), the force was strong within all marchers to continue photo shoots far into the night. Fun, excitement and cosplay camaraderie remained even when the 90% weather tried to crush the party. No way! Grit like this to keep the party going can only be seen at Dragon Con!
Tips for Next Year
Next year guidance – don’t even think twice – GO!!! Get your badge early to avoid extra costs, book hotels the day they are posted as open for reservations, hook up with the Facebook sites for group photo sessions, bring bottled water and snacks during the day to keep energy up. I heard some rumblings about Milk Thistle too…
