Hail HYDRA!
Oh, wait, those are the bad guys. Of course, those are also some of the folks that we thought were good guys all last season. So, now what do we do?
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is a TV show set in the MArvel cinematic universe, a very ambitious idea that will string together television and movies in to a world that provides a seamless flow of entertainment. In a lot of ways, this is the best thing that has happened for comic book fans in a long time. In other ways it has caused much hate to fly around the internet regarding things that fanboys do not agree with. Good. Conflict drives ratings, right?
At the end of last season, Nick Fury showed up, proving that he was not dead, and told Agent Coulson that he should rebuild and he would now be the new head of S.H.I.E.L.D. with May as his second in command. Fitz and Simmons had been trapped in a container on the bottom of the ocean, finally being rescued, but not before Fitz sacrificed his own life to save Simmons. He did survive, so that was a good thing.
Fury had given Coulson a box and he used it to reveal some secret coordinates. Another secret base, and another Eric? Nope, Billy Koenig, since Eric was killed by Ward, who turned out to be an agent of HYDRA. Billy, though, acts almost exactly like Eric did when they first met, which may mean that he is an LMD, Life Model Decoy, or an android loaded with the same personality and memories that thinks it is someone else. We shall see.
For now, the team, or what is left of them, is in the Toybox and getting ready to rebuild S.H.I.E.L.D. Hydra is still out there. and Nick Fury is gone into hiding, but he will be everywhere. Tune in tonight and watch, but first, check out the Season Two trailer.
i’m hoping my theory as to who skye’s father really is is correct!
