The CW found success with The Vampire Diaries. Last season, the network did what any respectable television network would do and created a spinoff. The Originals returns for a second season tonight.
Not your ordinary spinoff, fans seem to love The Originals as much as, well, the original. A show centered around three siblings who return to reclaim their family’s rightful place ruling New Orleans, the initial season took some twists and turns. There was a war, a baby, werewolves and more to keep fans entertained.
This season looks to be no different. Just as the siblings are seemingly settling back in to their surroundings, they hatch a plan to finish cleaning up the area so that they may bring their children home. The war with the wolves is front and center. Just like the first season that was full of twists and turns, season two swerves pretty quickly.
Mommy and Daddy are home.
Now the Mikaelson siblings realize that the group they are aiming to exonerate may be the best group to help them stand their ground. Staying true to the old adage that “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”, the main characters are likely to find themselves aligned with the very group they are opposed to to start the season.
