So Inhuman got pushed back from its original January debut to an April release. We knew that. But we didn’t (and still don’t) really know why. So while we were all waiting for that news to hit, we got a surprise detail that no one saw coming. That is, except for writer Charles Soule and Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief, Axel Alonso.
That’s right. Up-and-coming superstar Charles (Swamp Thing, Thunderbolts) Soule will be replacing fan-favorite writer Matt (Hawkeye, Fantastic Four) Fraction. But if this seemingly last second shakeup has you worried, stop right there.
Fraction is great, yes, but he’s already got a lot of books under his belt. Soule is new and fresh (and equally great), so the title is in good hands. Plus, he is an admitted “huge fan” of the Inhumans, so it’s all going to be okay.
Oh, yeah. And a little somebody by the name of Joe Madureira is still going to be doing the artwork.
Needless to say, if these two creators’ past works are any indication, this die hard DC fan is going to be saying “Make Mine Marvel” again in April of next year.
Fraction gets kicked off Fantastic Four…Fraction gets kicked off Inhumans…noticing a pattern.
