GenCon Indy Cosplay!
First things first! Rest In Peace Roddy Piper! You will be missed!
Now, let’s get to GenCon! If you think this is just a gaming convention, re-evaluate! This was an AMAZING gaming convention with tons of cosplay mixed into it. The unique cosplays at GenCon had fantastic, eclectic and WAY amazing costumes that made the weekend a stand out! Of course there’s mind-blowing camaraderie going on, dealers, artists, celebs and much more all on two full levels of convention floors.
Tickets were reasonable, especially if you bought ahead of time. Freebies (yes, I said free) included a large, well-made light brown bag, a hard convention badget vice wristband (for those of you that collect con badges), a great, usable coupon book with a large, color event program that was almost 1/2 inches thick! The absolute most surprising perk at the con? Food truck lane! It was the most awesome line-up of culinary quick picks EVER!!! 5 thumbs up for perks and planning! Most impressive!
Not only was there eye-popping gaming boards on tables, floors, pods and laps, but also there was the absolute most inventive cosplay I’ve seen in years! From a gender-bent maid cafe to a person on stilts, 1920’s Flapper Loki, Princess Anna Winter Soldier, Bob’s Burgers group and a magician and the rabbit who came out of the hat – pure ingenuity!!! So refreshing and unique! Next year this is a don’t miss convention – seriously – don’t miss it next year!!!
Cosplay Corner loved this convention and hopes the convention controversy in Indiana can be resolved and remain beneficial for all!
