Geneva Steam, a second year convention held at the Lake Lawn Resort on 11-13 March 2016 was amazing – the costumes took your breath away! Ingenuity, creativity and artistic freedom was flowing freely and absolutely gorgeous! Panels, a Steerage Ball, parties, The Dublin O’Shea Band concert, proprietors, and excited attendees were more than fantastic!
The convention theme this year was Once Upon A Time, and attendees were out in force as steampunked fauns, winged fairies, fairy tales characters, octopus wranglers, gorgeous geisha, rascally werewolves and beautiful horned beasts roamed the con.
Geneva Steam is a delightful event, creating an interesting environment to costume and cosplay with one of the most creative genres of costuming around – the steampunk community.
If you haven’t tried steampunk, DO IT! Make plans for next year by watching the Geneva Steam Convention page.
This convention gets 4.5 thumbs up out of 5. High rating due to affordability, immersion feels, group camaraderie, smile factor and most importantly – creative costuming. THIS IS THE GROUP! Seriously great feels here! Keep it in the calendar for next year!
These guys were adorable – but stay still for a picture? Couldn’t do it! SO CUTE!!
This is the gorgeous, amazing and incredible host of the event! Fab job, my Lady!
