The first full trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2 is now out and here it is below for you to watch in all its glory. The trailer debuted on the February 28 2017 episode of the Jimmy Kimmel Live show on ABC.
This is the full official synopsis for the movie:
“Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.”
Directed by James Gunn, the second outing of the team sees the return of Chris Pratt as Peter Quill / Star Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Dave Bautista as Drax and Michael Rooker as Yondu. Volume 2 adds Sylvester Stallone to the cast as well as Kurt Russell as Ego The Living Planet, Peter Quill’s long-lost father. Glenn Close plays Nova Prime, Ayesha will be played by Elizabeth Debicki and Karen Gillan will portray the character Nebula.
The movie will be in theaters on May 5th.
