Here Come The Funny Books: April 27, 2015

Here come the funny books! Of course, in this day and age of totally desensitized people, there are not a lot of books out there that are really funny any more. So much is about the shock value and the drama. Does that mean that comics have to become more graphic and leave less and less to the imagination just to capture the minds of our populace? I believe that art can make the story, and I do not mind the violence and sex, at times, but I have seen books that take that too far. Not every book is for everyone.

Of course, this week Convergence continues in the world of DC Comics along with one of my favorite books right now, He-Man: The Eternity War. Marvel pushes forward as they begin to ramp  up for Secret Wars. Rod Espinosa has a new book out over at Antarctic Press. A lot of series end, like Quantum and Woody Must Die from Valiant and two series from Action Lab, but there are a few new ones including the kick off of the latest chapter in the Oz series from Zenescope.

There is bound to be something that you can read and fall in love with. Just try it.
