The Marvel Now! Campaign is returning to the House of Ideas this August! You will be able to get an advanced look at it via the Marvel Now Previews Magazine that will be available on July 13th.
Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso stated today; “Marvel NOW! is about the future of the Marvel Universe,”. The news and official details will be released at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con but the Previews magazine will give fans and readers a glimpse of what is to come.
Proclaiming that this new marketing campaign is about the future of the Marvel universe is intriguing. We have had Marvel NOW! which launched in 2012 which Alonso described at the time as ” “the next chapter in the ongoing saga of the Marvel Universe.” Then we had All-New Marvel NOW! in 2014 and Alonso called that; “ All-New Marvel Now! is a thrilling new entity that’s bringing unmatched energy and focus to our already-robust line of titles.”. 2016 brought us the post-Secret Wars All-New All-Different Marvel and about this Axel Alonso stated; “The goal is to invite a new audience while maintaining and honoring the fans who are already reading.”
This new campaign comes in the same year as the latest re-launch, a departure from the 2-year cycle that Marvel has been on for a while now. Further, to go back to Marvel Now while looking to the future should be curious to fans. Will this be Marvel Now! 2.0 or a visitation to those titles and more first issues?
