Midwest Toy Fest = Fun, Cosplay and TOYS!!!
How could a gigantic toy fest be in anyway anything but on fleek!!! SOOO amazing to find any and every imaginable toy in the world in one location – yaaass!!! Toys, Comics, Games and Art – they covered it all and more! TONS of cosplay there too!
Indianapolis, IN was one lucky city to host MWTF’s inaugural show! The con had everything – costume contests, guests, panelists, cosplayers – as well as toy vendors who opened their doors and booths early Saturday and went late into Sunday afternoon with shoppers still gazing at their goods!
MWTF’s guests included Stuart Sayger, Gavin Smith, Scott Rosema, Kayce Super, Skyrim Fox, James Wulfgar from CosAwesome Studios, The 501st Legion and The Rebel Legion – among many others!!! These great invitees were in addition to some amazing panelists – RealBreakingNate, Tony Troxel, Bri Rudd, Francis Hull and Martin Dale.
You don’t have to love ‘everything toys’ to go, there was so much more to do at MWTF!!! Remember, the convention costume contests were on Saturday, so if it’s on your calendar for next year – plan accordingly! This was a good, new con with potential for leaps and bounds growth in costuming and cosplay next year! Be prepared to bring your A game!!! Reasonable prices, decent food, lots (lots) of cosplay, safe location and great merch to meander through made it a good experience for all.
Suggestion: If you’re ‘contest’-ing it next year, get there the night before and get your beauty sleep! Arrive at the con first thing on Saturday bright, zero puff and early!
Overall Cosplay Corner rating – 3.5 out of 5 gloved cosplay thumbs up !!!
