Welcome back to Comic Booked and our weekly list of all things new in the comic world. Take a look at the list below to see what is being delivered to stores on Wednesday. Remember, we are not here to push you to certain issues. I want you to pick what you want, read what you want, try new things, and enjoy the stories and adventures created each week.
The best thing about the current comic book environment is that everything old is new again. All the reprints of old comics make it so easy to catch up on stories and books that may be way out of the average comic reader’s budget. Image First reprints some great books like Saga, Alex + Ada, Spawn, and Savage Dragon, to name a few.
This week has some very interesting looking books, some to watch out for and, maybe, some to avoid.
DC Comics is offering a chance to get your hands on Detective Comics #27, the first appearance of Batman. This facsimile would be a great one to pick up. Also, the story of Fables continues as we are counting down to the end of the series. The current run of Swamp Thing comes to an end this week, but the gods return with Olympus Rebirth #1. Over at Dark Horse, you can get your Star Wars fix as they begin publishing Star Wars:Hyperspace Stories #1, a new series for young readers. Personally, I am interested in checking out Gun Honey: Blood for Blood #1 from Titan, which has a sweet looking Linsner cover.
