NWI Comic Con’s third year roused a crowd of over 4,000 attendees with so many cosplayers it was absolutely AMAZING! Organizers Brian and Kelly Grabinski ran another successful event touting wait lines well past convention start time. On February 20th The Halls of St George were filled with hundreds of costumed characters, tons of incredible artists, vendors, photographers and incredibly friendly staff and attendees. IT WAS PACKED!
Interested in panels? Guests? Artists? Costume contests? NWI had it all, with adult and teen costume contests well attended and their cosplay judges local costuming favorites! Convention MC extraordinaire Luis Marquez is one of the most jovial, talented cosplayers around who can get a crowd going and keep their interest for hours!
CosAwesome Studios, CosTacular Studios, Geeks-A-Gogo, South Shore Ghostbusters, Costumers With A Cause and PopCultHQ are just a few of the local groups and sites present at this favorite community event.
NWI Comic Con hits a 4.5 thumbs up out of 5 for low cost, friendly staff, cosplay supportive con, accessible location, and available photographers. Next year will be bigger, better and even more awesome so make plans, ask for the day off and see you there! Can’t wait!
